FAQ

Q: What communication interface does this 4.2‑inch e‑paper screen support?

A: It adopts SPI interface. The main controller can send image data and control the screen via SPI bus for easy development.

Q: What is the refresh speed of the screen? Will there be ghosting issues?

A: Full‑screen refresh takes 20 seconds, and fast refresh takes 12 seconds. Due to the characteristics of 4‑color e‑paper, slight ghosting may occur in fast‑refresh mode, which can be eliminated by performing one full refresh.

Q: What colors can this e‑paper screen display? Does it support color gradients?

A: It only supports four fixed display colors: black, white, red and yellow. It does not support color gradients or grayscale effects. Image materials need to be pre‑processed into these four colors before sending to the screen.
